Position Overview
An established outpatient mental health organization is seeking a Licensed Psychologist with a strong CBT focus to join its multidisciplinary team in Great Neck, NY.
The psychologist will provide evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety, BDD, mood disorders, trauma, autism spectrum disorders, and related conditions, including participation in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy using CBT, ERP, DBT, ACT, CPT, CBT-ED, and PE as appropriate.
- Treat patients with OCD, anxiety, BDD, and other related behavioral health conditions.
- Participate in the IOP and provide care for higher-acuity patients.
- Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide ERP therapy, including community-based or home-based exposure when clinically appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Participate in case consultations and program development.
- Provide mentorship or supervision when appropriate.
- Stay current with evidence-based behavioral health research and treatment.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) from an accredited program.
- Active New York State Psychology license.
- Strong foundation in CBT and a directive therapeutic approach.
- Experience with evidence-based treatment; ERP experience strongly preferred.
- Experience treating OCD, anxiety, BDD, eating disorders, autism, mood disorders, or related conditions.
- Comfortable working with complex or higher-acuity patients.
- Strong communication, clinical assessment, and teamwork skills.
Preferred: Experience in inpatient, residential, hospital, or IOP settings; research or academic experience; clinical supervision or mentorship experience.
Compensation & Benefits
