Description
The Vocational Education & Workforce Training Coordinator supports the day-to-day operation of Fresno Mission’s Career Pathways programs. This role coordinates vocational education, program administration, worksite placement partnerships, data tracking, and student coaching and support.
The Coordinator works with students, program and department leaders, and outside partners to provide structure, accountability, and encouragement while helping individuals develop the skills, work experience, and confidence needed for employment and long-term stability.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, flexible, relational, and passionate about helping people grow through employment, education, and discipleship.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Vocational Education operations, orientations, schedules, trainings, and events.
- Coordinate student vocational placements and communicate with department leaders about schedules, performance, and training needs.
- Track attendance, progress, assessments, evaluations, and certifications.
- Coach students in professionalism, reliability, personal growth, and spiritual maturity.
- Maintain accurate student records, documentation, and program data.
- Track data and prepare reports for grants, program evaluation, and employment outcomes.
- Manage partnerships with outside organizations through worksite placements
- Support departmental operations through proactive communication and oversight of worksite placements
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, communication, and program processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and collaborate across departments and with the Career Pathways team.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in workforce development, vocational training, education, nonprofit work, or ministry.
- Experience with program administration, data tracking, worksite placements, or partnerships.
- Experience working with individuals in recovery or facing employment barriers.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
