Position Summary
The Emergency Room Technician role within The Summit Team is an ideal opportunity for those seeking to perform essential technician duties for high-need emergency department patients while supporting region-wide flexibility. As a member of MultiCare’s regional float pool, you’ll deliver expert care across the Puget Sound and Capital Pacific Regions, working in diverse emergency settings that keep your skills sharp and your work dynamic. This position offers the chance to collaborate with multiple teams, adapt to varied environments, and make a meaningful impact wherever you’re needed most. You will perform routine duties within the limits of documented training for emergency department patients.Responsibilities
You will engage your critical thinking skills in maintaining a safe, therapeutic and aesthetic environment
You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team
Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
Requirements
Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, EMT, or phlebotomist in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting with the last three (3) years
Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant license (CNA) or Nursing Assistant Registered license (NA-R)
Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification (MA-P) or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible (Must complete education within 60 days and apply within 7 days of education completion)
Current BLS certification
Current Washington state driver’s license and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MultiCare Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $25.00 - $41.32 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
