Job Description Summary:The Director, Connected Vehicle Programs is an Individual Contributor (IC) Director responsible for leading T-Mobile's initial delivery of connected car services. This role serves as the primary executive-facing liaison between T-Mobile and Automotive OEM clients, translating complex technical and operational information into clear business communications for senior stakeholders. The Director coordinates across T-Mobile's PMO, network engineering, and cross-functional lines of business to ensure cohesive, on-time delivery of specific programs. In parallel, this role develops scalable operating frameworks and best practices for handling large-scale connected vehicle OEM relationships that can be applied to future T-Mobile partnerships.
Job Responsibilities
- Executive Relationship Management: Serve as T-Mobile's senior point of contact with Automotive OEM’s leadership. Build and maintain trust with executive stakeholders through consistent, proactive, and clear communication. Translate complex technical delivery status and issues into concise, executive-level messaging using a "less is more" communication approach.
- Cross-Functional Delivery Coordination: Act as the central orchestration point for T-Mobile's OEM delivery — aligning PMO, network engineering, and technical teams. Maintain dotted-line oversight of OEM’s aligned workstreams to ensure accountability, resolve blockers, and drive delivery timelines. Own bi-directional information flow between OEM’s and internal T-Mobile teams.
- Technical Translation & Communication Cadence: Establish and lead a regular executive communication rhythm. Distill technical program status (network deployment, platform, PMO) into business-relevant summaries, risks, and decisions for senior audiences on both sides. Ensure the "so what" of every update is clear and actionable.
- Connected Car Operating Model Development: Bring together, document, and codify lessons learned and best practices from OEM’s engagement into a reusable operating framework for T-Mobile's connected car OEM business. Contribute to pre-sales and solutioning materials to support future large-scale automotive customer pursuits.
- Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelors Degree: Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (Required)
- 10+ years: Program/delivery management in telecommunications, IoT, or connected car industries (Required)
- 7+ years: Direct experience leading connected car OEM relationships, preferably with Tier 1 automotive OEM’s
- 7+ years: Demonstrated experience operating at the executive level — building relationships with and presenting to C-suite or VP-level stakeholders (Required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Executive Communication (Required) - Ability to distill complex technical information into concise, decision-ready executive messaging; strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Technical Fluency (Required) - Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with network and engineering teams; ability to ask the right questions and understand answers.
- Relationship Management - Demonstrated ability to build executive trust and credibility with large enterprise customers; existing automotive OEM network strongly preferred.
