We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Director Lead to lead the design, development and modernization of our Client Onboarding and Regulatory Platform, delivering scalable enterprise solutions that support critical regulatory compliance and client lifecycle functions across the Firm.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Lead Software Engineering position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining software solutions that support business objectives through modern engineering practices, architecture, application development and technology innovation.

What you'll do in the role
Lead the technical design, development and implementation of strategic onboarding and regulatory technology platforms.
Drive architecture decisions, engineering standards and software development best practices across distributed teams.
Develop scalable applications leveraging Java and modern web technologies.
Partner with global business stakeholders, technology teams and operations users to deliver innovative solutions.
Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Champion cloud-aligned architecture, usability, performance and user experience improvements.
Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
Support Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
Collaborate with infrastructure, vendor, development, QA and support teams globally.
Mentor developers and promote technical excellence within the organization.
What you'll bring to the role
At least 7+ years of hands-on Java EE and Core Java development experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Strong experience in web services, REST APIs and Service-Oriented Architecture.
Expertise in Object-Oriented Design, design patterns, application architecture and systems integration.
Strong database knowledge including data modeling, SQL development and performance optimization.
Experience with enterprise development and automated testing frameworks including Spring, JUnit and BDD tools.
Proficiency working in Unix/Linux environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including system integration, infrastructure debugging or systems administration experience.
Ability to collaborate effectively across large, globally distributed teams.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies to meet business needs.
All our positions are located in Montreal, Quebec.
We offer a hybrid work environment, combining remote work and attendance in the office.
Knowledge of French and English is required.
