Class 1/AZ Shunt Driver

Bison Drivers are paid every week, on time!  This schedule Monday to Thursday shift runs 0700 to 1730 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

• Hourly rate: $22.75
• Hours of work might change from time to time according to operational demands
• Reporting directly to the Shunt Coordinator
• Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quick-checks, and trailer greasing, along with other general shop/yard duties
• Responsible for operation of the forklift and assisting on the dock when needed. Training will be provided.
• Works closely with Shunt Coordinator, Property Services, Fleet Maintenance Manager, Highway and City dispatch, maintenance and the warehouse on daily shunting activities

Candidate Profile

• Company Driver residing in Mississauga or immediate area
• Tractor-trailer over the road driving experience, minimum 12 months
• Previous shunt experience is preferred
• Valid Class 1/AZ license is required
• Well organized and possess excellent customer service skills
• Comfortable with smartphone technology for emailing and texting
• Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
• Reliable, flexible and punctual
