Scope and Purpose of the Position:
The Laundry runner is responsible for dispatching linen, controlling the receipt of linen, and ensuring all departments have their stock of linen for their daily operations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Operational
Daily reception and control of clean linen. The Laundry Runner must ensure the number of pieces returned matches the delivery sheet. If there is a discrepancy, escalate it to the Laundry Manager. The Laundry Runner must also ensure that linen is returned to the hotel in the quality expected at a Four Seasons. Ensure billing from our provider matches quantity received.
The Laundry Runner will dispatch the clean linen in
Rooms pantries, Spa Level, F&B pantries
Ensure all Rooms pantries remain clean, organised, and well maintained at all times.
Ensure stock levels are maintained following par levels required by Four Seasons and ensure new linen is injected into the stock when required with the help of the Laundry Manager.
Ensure that all Rooms stock areas (linen, pillows, duvet, feather, topper, extra beds) are well organised and clean.
The Laundry Runner is responsible for ensuring that all discarded linen is transported to the soiled linen storage area. He will also separate damaged items and return clean linen with remaining stains to the laundry provider for re-treatment.
The Laundry Runner will update the tracking sheet of linen stock.
Control and reception of Manager clean garments. Ensure billing from our provider matches quantity received.
Replace chemicals from Laundry when required.
Support Uniform attendants during inventory period or when business requires.
Destaining of carpets and furniture. Support Housekeeping in deep cleaning during Perfect Room Program.
Take part in linen and uniforms quarterly inventory.
Communication & Collaboration
Maintains clear and effective communication between hotel departments.
Safety & Security
Acts quickly and appropriately in guest or employee emergencies, following established procedures.
Monitors compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in all areas of responsibility.
Service Standards & Brand Representation
Upholds and enforces Four Seasons service standards, policies, and procedures.
Acts as an ambassador of the hotel, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues alike.
Standard Duties
Comply with Four Seasons’ Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
Deliver service that consistently exceeds guest expectations.
Follow the hotel’s grooming, hygiene, and professional appearance guidelines.
Maintain flexibility to assist in other duties or areas as required to meet business needs.
Maintain confidentiality of guest, employee, and company information.
Participate in health and safety training and comply with all related procedures.
Knowledge and Skills
Able to use Excel, Outlook and Word.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Fluent in French; additional languages are an advantage.
