As a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor, you'll work directly with nursing students, helping them build the confidence, clinical judgment, and skills they need to become compassionate, capable nurses.

Shape the Future of Nursing 

As a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor in the Medford area, you'll mentor Joyce University nursing students at local clinical sites while continuing your own professional practice. 

Position Details 

• Location: Medford Area Clinical Sites 
• Position Type: Part-Time 
• Schedule: Typically 1–2 clinical shifts per week, per academic term 
• State: Oregon

What You'll Do 

• Guide nursing students through hands-on clinical experiences in local healthcare settings 
• Connect real-world nursing practice to what students are learning in their courses 
• Coach and mentor students as they develop clinical skills, judgment, communication, and confidence 
• Observe student performance and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation 
• Recognize opportunities for additional support and help students develop through coaching and remediation 
• Collaborate with Joyce faculty and staff to support a consistent, student-centered learning experience 
• Stay current in your nursing practice and bring current clinical knowledge into your teaching 
• Participate in select university activities such as faculty meetings, pinning ceremonies, and graduation

Requirements

 What You Bring Required 

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Oregon 
• Master's degree in Nursing 
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience 

Preferred 

• Previous teaching, precepting, mentoring, or clinical education experience 

No formal teaching experience? That's okay. 

We value nurses who know their practice, care about developing others, and can create a positive learning experience for students. Previous teaching experience is helpful, but we're also interested in nurses who have served as preceptors, mentors, charge nurses, clinical leaders, or the person others naturally turn to when they need guidance.
