ABOUT THE POSITION

The Loss Prevention team is responsible for protecting company assets, reducing shrink, and supporting a safe and secure environment across stores and operations. This includes leveraging data, analytics, and investigative practices to identify risk and drive informed decision-making.

The Loss Prevention Analyst plays a critical role in identifying suspicious activity and potential fraud through the analysis of retail transactional data, exception-based reporting, and customer activity. This role partners closely with North America–based Loss Prevention leadership and field teams to deliver actionable insights and investigative support.

This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of curiosity, capable of identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies that indicate potential theft or fraud. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and collaborating across global teams.

 

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Analyze retail transactional data to identify patterns indicative of fraud, theft, or operational risk.
• Review exception-based reports (e.g., refunds, voids, discounts, no-sale transactions) to detect suspicious or anomalous behavior.
• Monitor and investigate consumer loyalty accounts for fraudulent activity or misuse.
• Identify trends, outliers, and emerging risks across stores, regions, and channels.
• Develop clear, concise reports and investigative summaries for Loss Prevention leadership.
• Partner with Loss Prevention Business Partners (LPBPs) to deliver actionable leads and case support.
• Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations tools including but not limited to Power BI and/or Tableau to communicate insights.
• Continuously refine analytical methods to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Track and document findings, case work, and reporting outputs in a consistent and organized manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and North America–based teams to support ongoing LP initiatives.

YOU HAVE

• 3–6+ years of experience in data analysis, fraud detection, loss prevention, or retail operations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis).
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Familiarity with SQL or other data querying tools preferred.
• Experience reviewing transactional or exception-based reporting preferred.
• Understanding of retail operations, POS systems, and fraud or theft patterns is a plus.
• Strong English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking), experience collaborating with North America–based teams preferred.
