Data Analyst Officer (Internal Announcement)

Function Prerequisite:

The Data Analyst is a part of a team conducting the Operational Field Evaluation of the Scorpion System.  The Data Analyst will assist with data analysis of the dig sheet, interpret the data and aid in maintain the system.  The Data Analyst may be deployed as a searcher to support the team in other roles as required. The Data Analyst is deployed with the team in a specified area and responsible for the clearance and medical procedures in accordance with NPA Iraq SOP.

General Responsibilities:

• Work within the framework of NPA core values
• Act as an ambassador for NPA, through professionalism and conduct
• Adhere to all NPA policies, regulations and procedures
• Maintain and care for all equipment issued by NPA and for any loss or damage, you will be liable for repair or replacement
• Follow all verbal and/or written instructions, unless in direct violation of safety and duty of care
• Ensure a safe workplace and protect all staff and equipment from damage/ injury

Responsibilities:

Data Analyst:

• Operate or assist with operating the computer system to display findings
• Be familiar and use the system software to maintain and adjust results
• Analyse the produced dig sheet
• Interpret the data

Searcher:

• Work in accordance with adhere to NPA Iraq SOPs at all times.
• Search and clearance of ERW in dedicated area.
• Ensure that PPE, tools and equipment are clean, in working order and all items are present.
• Follow the instructions of the Team Leader, expediently, safely and without objections.
• Accept responsibility for his/her safety and act in a disciplined way at all times.
• Report all safety concerns or any damaged or missed PPE, tools or equipment immediately to the Team Leader.
• Other tasks given by the Team Leader or other Supervisor.

IM

• Uploads data to Survey123 and Share Point (SP), ensuring its processing through data cleaning and validation.
• Prepares geographical maps and mosaic maps using drone stitching applications.
• Uploads and archives IM products – both hard and soft copies.
• Assists in installing, configuring and managing IM tools and their functions according to specifications.

If assigned as a driver in addition to his/her position as searcher, the Driver job description shall be attached and signed.

If Assigned Primary/Alternate Team Driver:

• Complete vehicle log sheets and submit to Fleet Office on the last working day of the month
• Ensure all vehicle legal documents kept on the vehicle such as registration, movement permissions, driver’s license, insurance details, etc
• Know and follow NPA Driver Vehicle SOP and Policy
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues to Fleet Officer/Team Leader
• Complete LDR/MFA or accident reports on vehicles in any required circumstances
• Conduct weekly vehicle washing and maintenance and keep vehicle clean of rubbish daily
• Assist Fleet Officer with vehicle re-fuelling and repairs as required

Required Qualifications:

Must have

• Successfully pass relevant training courses

Desirable

• Demining/BAC/Survey/NTS Course

Experience:

Must have:

• Basic MS Office computing skills

Desirable:

• 1 year experience as Deminer/BAC Searcher
• Basic English skill

Other Qualifications:

• Verbal proficiency in Arabic
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good communication and understanding skills
• Able to work effectively under stressful situations and adapt to difficult conditions
• Willingness and ability to travel within the country
