The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women's Health is seeking a Department Coordinator III to perform all administrative duties for faculty onboarding (triptych, credentialing, hospital privileges), reappointments, Periodic Career Reviews, promotions, resignations, etc. for the University of Louisville (UL) and University of Louisville Physicians (ULP). This position will ensure Faculty and Nurse Practitioners credentials are current by working with them at times of renewal dates. The Department Coordinator III will assist with application completion to maintain hospital privileges, renewing medical licenses, etc. Onboard new faculty by facilitating all steps including human resources, credentialing, etc. This position is the point of contact to provide current credentials, TB results, liability insurance proof, proof of flu vaccine and any item requested by hospitals medical staff offices and ULP’s credentialing department for faculty and medical staff. This position will provide administrative support to the Executive Director and backup to Executive Assistant as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Onboarding new faculty by managing process to include application process, criminal background, requesting reference letters and all other items required for triptych as well as information required by ULP. Coordinate new employee orientation for UL and ULP, trainings, meetings with hospital personnel and the medical staff office as needed.
Process annual faculty reappointments.
Process Periodic Career Reviews.
Process faculty promotions.
Managing the process of renewing KY medical licenses annually.
Maintain copies of medical licenses, DEA, liability insurance certificates, TB results and proof of flu vaccine.
Point of contact for the credentialing department, hospitals medical staff offices personnel regarding anything related to credentialing for faculty, midwives, nurse practitioners. Assist with faculty hospital privileges reappointments.
Schedule meetings for Executive Director as requested.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$29.27Target Compensation Minimum:
$19.51Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
