Job Overview

LPL Financial is seeking an Audio Visual Technician – Audio Engineer with a strong background in audio engineering and live production to support corporate meetings, executive presentations, town halls, livestreams, and special events.

This role will primarily focus on professional audio production, including live sound mixing, microphone systems, audio signal routing, recording, system configuration, and troubleshooting. The position will also provide general AV and event support, including equipment setup and strike.

The ideal candidate is technically skilled, dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced corporate environment supporting high-visibility events.

Responsibilities

Audio Production & Engineering

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot professional audio systems for corporate meetings, executive events, town halls, livestreams, and live productions.
• Operate digital audio consoles, wireless microphone systems, playback devices, processors, and related professional audio equipment.
• Mix live audio for in-room audiences, broadcasts, livestreams, recordings, and virtual participants.
• Manage audio signal flow, routing, gain structure, EQ, dynamics processing, and overall system levels.
• Set up and manage wireless lavalier, handheld, podium, and other microphone systems.
• Perform sound checks and ensure clear, consistent audio throughout live events.
• Monitor RF and wireless microphone performance and quickly identify and resolve interference or connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot audio issues including feedback, distortion, signal loss, routing problems, and equipment failures.
• Support audio integration with video conferencing, livestreaming, recording, and broadcast systems.
• Record event audio and assist with media management and archiving as needed.

General AV & Event Support

• Set up, operate, and strike AV equipment for meetings, conferences, and corporate events.
• Provide general support for video systems, displays, projectors, lighting, presentation systems, and video conferencing.
• Set up and strike pipe and drape, staging, and other event production equipment as needed.
• Run, secure, and manage AV cabling while maintaining safe, clean, and professional event spaces.
• Assist with equipment testing, maintenance, inventory, and organization.
• Participate in rehearsals, pre-production meetings, event setup, and post-event breakdown.
• Partner with presenters, executives, producers, event teams, and other AV professionals to deliver a high-quality event experience.

Requirements:

• Live Video Production & Multi-Camera Operation: minimum of 3 years supporting live corporate events, broadcasts, town halls, or livestreams with hands-on operation of professional cameras, PTZ cameras, and multi-camera production environments.
• Video Engineering & Signal Flow: proven experience configuring and troubleshooting video signal routing, switching, distribution, resolutions, and frame rates with strong knowledge of SDI, HDMI, and NDI technologies.
• Livestreaming & Recording: experience supporting livestreams, virtual events, encoding, recording, and content distribution and ability to monitor and troubleshoot live productions in real time.
• Video Switching & Production Equipment: hands-on experience operating video switchers, routers, recording systems, monitors, and production control equipment.
• Video Editing & Post-Production: experience editing recorded content using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms and ability to create polished internal communications, executive videos, and event recordings.

• Advanced livestreaming workflows
• Advanced multi-camera production experience
• Strong post-production and video editing background
• Experience with vMix, OBS, Wirecast, or similar production platforms
• Knowledge of network-based AV/video technologie

 

Pay Range:

$31.35-$52.24/hour

 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
