Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Execute automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript for front-end, end-to-end, integration, and API testing.
- Assist in evaluating manual test cases and contribute to the automation of high-value regression and functional tests.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks by developing reusable test components, fixtures, and test data.
- Develop and execute automated tests for Angular and .NET applications, including backend and API validation as needed.
- Support the integration and execution of automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines and maintain test assets in source code repositories.
- Follow established automation standards, coding practices, and documentation guidelines while participating in code reviews.
- Investigate and resolve automation issues such as flaky tests, timing dependencies, environment configuration, and test data problems with guidance from senior team members.
- Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work with developers to troubleshoot application and automation issues.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to refine requirements, improve test coverage, and support software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex to help develop and maintain automated tests while validating generated code for accuracy, quality, and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in test automation, software development, or SDET; experience in a professional services environment is preferred.
- Experience with Playwright and TypeScript for automating web application testing.
- Familiarity with developing and maintaining automated test scripts and contributing to existing automation frameworks.
- Experience with UI, end-to-end, integration, and API testing, with a basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, HTML, CSS selectors, browser behavior, and asynchronous execution.
- Familiarity with Git, source control, and CI/CD pipelines for managing and executing automated tests.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills with the ability to create, validate, and maintain test data.
- Ability to troubleshoot automation issues, including test failures, timing issues, and environment or test data problems, with support from senior team members when needed.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, OpenAI Codex) to support automation development while validating generated code for accuracy and maintainability.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA engineers, and product teams.
- Exposure to Angular, .NET, Azure DevOps, accessibility testing, visual regression testing, or performance testing is a plus.
