Senior Representative- Customer Service Inside Sales

While reporting to the Customer Service Team Lead, the Senior CSR – Inside Sales will partner with the sales, supply chain and manufacturing organizations as part of a cross-functional Customer Service Team to facilitate daily interactions with customers.  Actively engages in growing sales, creating Customer value through daily execution of quotes, manufacturing specifications, sales management and on-time delivery. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Serve as point person for Clear Spider cloud-based VMI system for Converting customers
• Coordinate all implementations between Sonoco support personnel and customers support personnel and the implementation of Clear Spider.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to support Clear Spider training and start up
• Assist in the system development of new locations as more accounts are onboarded
• Manage daily requirements via communication with customers in support of system’s needs.
• Correspond daily as needed with customers to manage inventories.
• Review, determine daily / weekly order needs and communicate orders to CSRS to be entered into the system.
• Responsible for reconciling inventory and negotiation with customers on difference of inventory.
• Provide support for parts creation working with Account Reps and CSRs to extract required info to be entered into various systems within Sonoco for the creation of new items / parts. 
• Work with the customers and account owners to derive accurate attributes needed to be entered into Sonoco systems.
• Analyze and make recommendations to customers for opportunities to consolidate items and parts based on common product attributes and plant capabilities
• Support strategic partnership between Plant Managers, Manufacturing Directors and Sales Directors supporting continuous improvement and project management activities
• Travel to plants and customer sites as needed to support relationship development and project work
• Backfill and support existing Pricing Coordinator on all pricing activities.
• Field all pricing questions, needed data implementation, and questions when the Pricing coordinator is unavailable. 
• Manage, communicate, and track all Pricing needs in the absence of the Pricing coordinator.
• Fill in for other Customer Service Representatives on the team for vacation coverage and absences

This position is located in Charlotte, NC.

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• You have well-polished written communications and verbal skills
• At least 3 years experience in customer service in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with managing inventory, reviewing item consumption, and recommending replenishment levels
• Experience analyzing product pricing and margins
• Familiarity with converted products items and part characteristics is a plus
• You have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and have good follow-up
• This position will require occasional work after normal business hours or over weekends to support 24/7 manufacturing facilities. 
• Travel approximately 15%-20%

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is as follows: $88,000 - $99,000
