Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco — Don Fisher Clubhouse
San Francisco, CA | Part-time (25 hrs/wk school year / 40 hrs summer) | In-person

What You’ll Do
Clubhouse Program Leaders design and lead tailored department programming, coordinate field trips, and autonomously oversee departmental operations at the Don Fisher Clubhouse. Servicing as a critical youth development role and pathway to leadership, Program Leaders facilitate structured activities that foster member growth, safety, and community culture.
- Program Facilitation & Lesson Planning
- Create, plan, and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for groups of approximately 10 youth.
- Facilitate programming designed to promote personal growth, educational achievement, character development, and skill-building.
- Supervision & Mentorship
- Provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for all youth participants.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor, actively building strong relationships to boost member self-esteem.
- Maintain high behavioral expectations using strong positive discipline skills.
- Operations & Team Collaboration
- Set Clubhouse culture standards rooted in mutual respect between staff and community.
- Collaborate with junior staff members to meet program goals, share best practices, and support field trip execution.
- Execute departmental operations and systems within a high-paced setting.
What You Bring
Required
- 2+ years of youth development experience working with youth ages 6–18 in a youth-serving setting
- Strong positive discipline, behavior management, and relationship-building skills
- Proven communication, organizational, and self-starter abilities
- Demonstrated capacity to create and maintain operational systems in a fast-paced environment with distractions
Preferred
- Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, or related fields
- Current Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification (or within 90 days of employment)
- Proven leadership or mentorship experience
- Bilingual skills (highly encouraged)
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours consecutively.
- Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.

Compensation
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and BGCSF needs. At BGCSF, our decisions are based on other factors and dependent on circumstances for each position. Depending on the need and requirement of the position, an individual could be hired at or near the entry-level, mid-level, or top of the range for their role and compensation. As such, a reasonable estimate of the current range is $24.00 - $25.00 per hour.
Pre-Employment Requirements
As part of the hiring process, BGCSF requires candidates to complete LiveScan fingerprinting, a background check, and a tuberculosis (TB) evaluation or test.
