Join us as we harness cutting-edge technologies and unlock opportunities on a global scale. Together, let's sail towards a brighter, more sustainable future with Maersk.
What We Can Offer
At Maersk, we’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and able to be themselves. Our team members come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we value the unique strengths each person contributes.
Lead a strategically important business with full ownership of growth, profitability, and operational performance.
Play a key role in shaping and scaling the future of Maersk's Managed Ground Freight business in Mexico, with a primary focus on cross-border transportation between Mexico and the U.S. and complementary domestic transportation solutions.
Collaborate across commercial, operations, procurement, finance, and product teams in a highly visible leadership position.
Access global development opportunities, international best practices, and the resources of a world-leading logistics organization.
Key Responsibilities
Own the overall performance and P&L of the MGF Mexico business, driving revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Define and execute the strategy to scale the Managed Ground Freight business and establish a sustainable operating model for future growth.
Lead the development of scalable processes, systems, governance structures, and performance management frameworks that support business expansion.
Oversee cross-border and domestic transportation operations, with primary responsibility for building and scaling the Mexico-U.S. cross-border business while ensuring strong network performance, service quality, capacity availability, and operational efficiency.
Drive carrier procurement, network strategy, and capacity management while strengthening strategic relationships with transportation providers.
Partner closely with commercial, finance, procurement, product, and operations teams to align growth ambitions with operational capability and execution readiness.
Lead, develop, and inspire a geographically distributed team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What We Are Looking For
Strong leadership experience within transportation, logistics, brokerage, managed transportation, or ground freight organizations.
Proven ownership of a business P&L, with the ability to drive profitable growth while balancing operational and financial priorities.
Experience leading asset-light transportation, brokerage, and cross-border transportation operations, ideally within the Mexico-U.S. market.
Demonstrated success building, scaling, transforming, or professionalizing organizations, operating models, processes, and teams in growth environments.
Ability to influence across a complex matrix organization and collaborate effectively with commercial, operations, procurement, finance, and product stakeholders.
Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Transportation, Engineering, or a related field.
12+ years of progressive leadership experience within transportation, logistics, brokerage, managed transportation, or ground freight organizations.
Significant experience leading asset-light transportation, brokerage, or managed freight businesses.
Demonstrated ownership of a business P&L, including responsibility for revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance.
Experience managing domestic and cross-border transportation operations.
Strong carrier procurement, capacity management, and transportation network expertise.
Proven success scaling businesses, building operating models, or transforming organizations.
Experience implementing systems, governance structures, performance frameworks, and operational controls in growth environments.
Strong financial acumen, analytical capabilities, and strategic planning experience.
Fluent Spanish and English communication skills.
Preferred
Experience within transportation brokerage organizations
Deep understanding of Mexico-U.S. cross-border freight dynamics and carrier networks.
Experience leading organizations through periods of rapid growth, transformation, or operating model redesign.
Experience operating successfully within complex matrix organizations requiring influence across multiple stakeholder groups.
Leadership Profile
The successful candidate will be a strategic business builder with the ability to balance commercial understanding, operational credibility, financial discipline, and organizational leadership. We are looking for someone who has successfully created scalable structures, developed new capabilities, and led organizations through periods of significant growth and transformation, rather than someone who has solely managed an already mature operation.
Success in the Role
Success is defined by the ability to scale and strengthen the Managed Ground Freight business in Mexico through operational excellence, process maturity, profitable growth, and strong organizational leadership. The successful candidate will build a scalable operating model, enhance cross-border and brokerage capabilities, improve business performance, and create a sustainable foundation for long-term growth.
Travel Expectations
National and international travel is expected to support business operations, carrier and customer engagement, and collaboration with regional and global stakeholders.
