About the opportunity

We are in a period of exciting development and transformation within our Domestic Recruitment and Access team, part of Sydney Future Students, as we aim to maximise our school engagement activities across both widening participation and recruitment functions.

In this context, we have an excellent opportunity for a Project Officer to provide project coordination and operational support across two teams. The Project Officer will also support recruitment activities for under-represented cohorts, including low SES, rural and remote, and Indigenous students.

About you

  • demonstrated cultural competence and an understanding of the experiences and needs of under-represented cohorts
  • experience coordinating events and engagement activities, with the ability to tailor activities to specific audiences and cohorts
  • well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, business partners, schools, students and University staff
  • demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, take initiative, exercise sound judgement and resolve operational matters as they arise
  • experience with project coordination, including an understanding of the project lifecycle, project documentation, standards and methodologies, with an interest in process improvement and delivering an excellent student experience
