Job Summary

Some opportunities define a career. This is one of them.

TYLin is seeking an exceptional Program Director, Aviation (MEP) to join our Aviation team and play a pivotal leadership role in the delivery of some of the largest and most complex airport capital infrastructure programs currently underway in the US.

Working as part of TYLin's Aviation team, you will serve as one of the senior leaders responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar terminal redevelopment program that will modernize critical airport infrastructure for generations to come.

This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure leader who thrives on solving complex engineering challenges, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering major Design-Build or alternative delivery programs in demanding operational environments.

If you're motivated by projects that leave a lasting legacy and want to be at the forefront of transforming one of the busiest aviation hubs in the world - we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Opportunity

As Program Director, you will provide executive leadership for the planning, coordination, and delivery of major Mechanical, Electrical and Plant Infrastructure initiatives supporting terminal redevelopment.

A cornerstone of this program is the decommissioning of existing central utility infrastructure and the delivery of new state-of-the-art heating, refrigeration and mechanical plant systems that will support the airport's future operations.

You'll serve as a trusted advisor to the client, oversee multidisciplinary delivery teams, coordinate numerous consultant and contractor partners, and ensure successful execution across every phase of the program.

This is a highly visible leadership position with significant responsibility, requiring regular collaboration with executive stakeholders, owners, designers, contractors and construction teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of a major aviation infrastructure program on behalf of the client.

  • Provide strategic leadership across complex mechanical, electrical and utility infrastructure projects supporting terminal redevelopment.

  • Direct multidisciplinary engineering, design and construction teams throughout planning, design and execution.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client representatives and executive stakeholders.

  • Lead program governance, risk management, scheduling, commercial oversight and quality management.

  • Coordinate multiple consultants, contractors, specialty disciplines and project partners across a large, integrated program.

  • Drive collaboration between designers, constructors and client teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

  • Provide leadership throughout procurement, design development, construction and commissioning activities.

  • Champion safety, quality, innovation and operational excellence across the program.

  • Mentor and develop project leadership teams while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

What We're Seeking

We're seeking a senior infrastructure leader with a proven record delivering complex capital programs in active aviation environments.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Extensive experience leading major airport infrastructure or terminal redevelopment programs.

  • Significant experience delivering large-scale Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, P3 or other alternative delivery projects.

  • Strong understanding of central utility plants, mechanical systems, heating, refrigeration, electrical infrastructure or related building services.

  • Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and multiple consulting and construction partners.

  • Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrated success managing complex budgets, schedules, risk and program delivery.

  • Ability to lead within highly regulated, operational airport environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is strongly preferred.

  • Candidates from Architecture or other relevant technical backgrounds with exceptional aviation program leadership experience will also be considered.

  • Aviation project experience is considered more valuable than a specific technical discipline.

  • Work with an elite team of industry experts across engineering, architecture and construction.
