Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join RHB Group Finance as Head, Strategic A&L, FTP & NIM. In this role, you will lead the Group's Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), balance sheet management, FX liquidity oversight and related treasury systems, providing critical insights to Senior Management and key management committees. You will play a key role in shaping balance sheet strategy, optimising Net Interest Margin (NIM), enhancing FTP frameworks, and ensuring robust regulatory compliance while supporting the Group's financial performance and strategic objectives.

What you will be doing

  • Lead and oversee the Group's Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework to support effective balance sheet management, business performance measurement and strategic decision-making

  • Drive strategic analysis and recommendations on FTP, NIM, funding costs, deposit pricing and balance sheet optimisation for Senior Management and relevant committees

  • Lead the development, enhancement and governance of FTP policies, methodologies, frameworks and implementation guidelines

  • Provide advisory support to business and support functions on product pricing, funding implications, balance sheet impact and business initiatives

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual FTP reporting and financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely delivery

  • Evaluate deposit campaigns, pricing initiatives and balance sheet strategies, providing independent assessments of their financial and profitability impact

  • Lead the monitoring and reporting of FX Net Open Position (NOP), ensuring compliance with internal policies and Bank Negara Malaysia requirements

  • Oversee FX liquidity management matters and provide recommendations on balance sheet and liquidity-related issues

  • Provide strategic oversight of FTP and CPMIS systems, including system enhancements, data integrity, regulatory changes and business impact assessments

  • Ensure effective governance of system change initiatives, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation readiness and stakeholder coordination

  • Partner closely with Treasury, Finance, Risk, Technology and business stakeholders to drive effective solutions and continuous improvement

  • Prepare and present management insights, analysis and recommendations to GALCO, Management and Board Committees

  • Lead, coach and develop the team to strengthen technical expertise, governance standards and operational excellence across the function

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Business, Mathematics or a related discipline. Master's Degree and/or professional qualifications will be an advantage

  • Extensive experience in Asset & Liability Management (ALM), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Treasury, Balance Sheet Management, Liquidity Management or related banking functions

  • Strong understanding of Net Interest Margin (NIM) management, funding strategies, deposit pricing and balance sheet optimisation

  • Sound knowledge of Bank Negara Malaysia regulatory requirements, particularly relating to liquidity management, FX Net Open Position (NOP) and treasury-related reporting

  • Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders, management committees and regulators

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights

  • Experience leading system enhancement initiatives, business impact assessments and governance processes involving treasury or finance platforms

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams

  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment while balancing strategic priorities, regulatory requirements and business objectives
