Position Summary
The SAP Regional Deployment & Delivery Lead is a key leadership position within the Toppako SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This role is responsible for leading regional deployment activities and ensuring the successful delivery of SAP solutions across the Americas. The position provides oversight of project execution, solution readiness, and technical alignment, ensuring deployments are delivered in accordance with the global template, regional business requirements, implementation standards, and site deployment plans.
The position will serve as the primary regional leader for delivery discussions, providing the connection between business teams, Site Project Leads, Site Project Managers, functional workstreams, SAP developers, integration teams, infrastructure teams, the global program, and system implementation partners.
The successful candidate will combine strong SAP technical and development knowledge with project delivery, deployment, and stakeholder-management capabilities. This individual must be able to translate technical issues into clear business impacts, guide technical decision-making, challenge implementation partners, and ensure that technical solutions are ready to support successful site deployments.

Reporting and Organizational Relationships
The Regional Deployment and Delivery Lead will work closely with:
- Regional Deployment Lead and OCM Lead
- Site Project Managers and Leads
- Global Toppako program leadership
- SAP functional and technical workstream leads
- System integrators and other implementation partners
- Regional IT and business leadership
- Data, integration, security, infrastructure, testing, training, and cutover teams
The position may provide direct or matrix leadership to regional SAP developers, technical analysts, integration resources, and other technical delivery personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery Leadership
- Guide regional technical discussions related to SAP solution delivery, deployment readiness, integration, development, data, security, infrastructure, testing, and cutover.
- Serve as the primary regional escalation point for technical delivery issues affecting project milestones or site deployments.
- Facilitate technical decision-making between regional teams, global template teams, site resources, and implementation partners.
- Evaluate proposed technical solutions for feasibility, maintainability, scalability, supportability, and alignment with the global SAP template.
- Ensure that technical decisions are clearly documented, assigned, communicated, and incorporated into project plans.
- Translate complex technical issues into understandable business impacts, risks, decisions, and recommended actions.
- Challenge system integrators and technical partners when solutions, estimates, timelines, or delivery quality do not meet program expectations.
SAP Development and Solution Support
- Provide technical insight for SAP developments, enhancements, interfaces, conversions, reports, forms, workflows, and extensions.
- Review functional and technical specifications to ensure requirements are complete, technically sound, and aligned with program standards.
- Support the evaluation and prioritization of RICEFW objects and other regional development requirements.
- Provide hands-on technical analysis or development support when appropriate.
- Guide developers in areas such as ABAP, APIs, SAP Integration Suite/CPI, Fiori, workflows, forms, data conversion, interfaces, and SAP extensions.
- Ensure appropriate use of standard SAP functionality before approving custom development.
- Support code quality, documentation, testing, transport, release, and deployment standards.
- Coordinate technical dependencies across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Regional Deployment Management
- Develop and maintain the regional technical deployment strategy in coordination with the Regional Project Manager, Site Project Managers, and global program.
- Ensure each site has an integrated technical readiness plan covering infrastructure, devices, connectivity, interfaces, data, security, roles, testing, transports, cutover, and post-go-live support.
- Establish consistent technical deployment standards, checklists, stage gates, and readiness criteria across all sites.
- Review site-level project plans and identify technical dependencies, resource conflicts, sequencing issues, and delivery risks.
- Support site readiness assessments and provide clear recommendations regarding readiness to proceed.
