We are looking for a Relationship Manager to join our Japan team. In this role, The Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and deepening relationships with Japanese institutional clients and prospects, including financial institutions and distribution partners. The Relationship Manager will represent the full breadth of Franklin Templeton's investment capabilities, delivering tailored investment solutions and products across traditional and alternative asset classes to meet clients' evolving needs.
How you will add value?
Developing and managing relationships with institutional investors, including banks, insurance companies, trust banks, and distributors.
Providing proactive client servicing, addressing client inquiries, coordinating investment updates, and strengthening long-term client relationships.
Identifying new business opportunities, driving mandate wins, and securing additional investments from existing clients.
Promoting Franklin Templeton's broad investment capabilities across traditional and alternative asset classes, and solution-oriented offerings, while identifying cross-selling opportunities and delivering tailored investment solutions to meet client objectives.
What will help you be successful in this role?
Experience:
Demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience in institutional sales and client servicing for financial institutions’ proprietary investment divisions, distributors, and other institutional investors
In particular, experience providing client service to major financial institutions, including banks, life insurance companies, and trust banks, is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements within the asset management industry, coupled with a high standard of professional integrity and adherence
A wide range of knowledge in asset management and investment business overall
Excellent business development, proposal, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
High passion to build relationship with global colleagues
High motivation to exceed budgets and high accountability
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
CFA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent knowledge of securities and investment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with prospects, clients and internal stakeholders across global teams
Business level English—TOEIC 860 or equivalent, or very high passion to go beyond the level
Presentation, risk management or any other licenses, skills and/or knowledges which are related to this position
