Description

Lead the defense of a global manufacturing and engineering powerhouse.

At Sandvik, digitalization, automation and AI are transforming how we work and create value. As Head of Cyber Defense Center, you lead the global capabilities that protect our business, people and assets – strengthening resilience and enabling innovation across our global organization.

About your job

You lead Sandvik’s Cyber Defense Center – a global function covering security operations, incident response, vulnerability management and security engineering. With a strong business and technology focus, you set the direction for our cyber defense capabilities, align teams and stakeholders, and ensure effective services that protect Sandvik and support our strategic priorities.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Cyber Defense Center, its leaders and teams, building a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Define and drive the strategic roadmap for cyber defense services, including managed detection and response, performance, development and financial follow-up.
  • Strengthening Sandvik’s ability to prevent, detect and respond to cyber threats through modern capabilities, automation, analytics and service improvement.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, IT, business stakeholders and senior leaders to align priorities, communicate risks and turn strategy into measurable outcomes.

Location

This is an on-site position with Stockholm World Trade Center as the primary location.

Your profile

Your background combines deep cybersecurity expertise with senior leadership and operational management experience. You understand modern cyber defense and know how to build and evolve global security capabilities that strengthen resilience, manage risk and support business objectives.

You also bring

  • Experience leading cyber defense, security operations or security engineering teams in a global environment.
  • Strong expertise in threat detection and response and security operations processes and technology.
  • Experience delivering security services, including managed security providers.
  • Proven ability to lead leaders, drive change and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience from industrial, manufacturing or other complex operational environments is an advantage.
  • Fluent English; certifications such as CISSP, CISM or GIAC are considered beneficial.

A people-centered leadership style is key to success in this role. You build trust, empower teams and create accountability while engaging stakeholders at all levels. Comfortable in discussing both strategy with senior leaders and technical challenges with security specialists, you combine strong leadership with a continuous improvement mindset.
