Description
NXP is seeking an undergraduate candidate for an internship program, to support the Front End Operations organization at the Austin Manufacturing & Technology Center. As a part of the Etch engineering organization, the candidate will work alongside manufacturing operations to enhance NXP’s manufacturing performance.
Job Summary:
- Work on projects under the direction of Equipment Engineering to help optimize MTBF, MTTR, maximize equipment efficiency, capacity, cycle time, quality and cost.
- Participate in fab-to-fab standardization activities, tool-to-tool matching, cost reduction, defect reduction, as well as throughput improvement projects.
- Learn to develop logical and objective data analysis skills to establish and track metrics to meet department goals.
- Intern will be the owner responsible for the research, analysis, and presentation to fab leadership of one high-business impact project during their internship.
Job Qualifications:
- Working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related field
- Strong data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of SPC and its use in troubleshooting and making improvements.
- Aptitude and desire to learn new skills.
- Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
