Job Purpose
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for executing complex projects from inception to completion, acting as the primary liaison between RWS and key clients, to ensure client retention, satisfaction, and ultimately repeat revenue growth.As the main point of contact for their clients, the Senior Project Manager must proactively use effective written and verbal communication to ensure that project teams understand the scope, complexity and expectations, and that the clients are kept fully informed as to the progress, position, and financial status of their projects. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager needs to collaborate with the extended project team, ensuring actions are clearly delegated and that resource/quality issues are escalated in a timely fashion to relevant colleagues and Senior Managers. The Senior Project Manager also supports coaching and mentoring of junior team members.

Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex Linguistic Validation projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
- Manage multiple projects independently while meeting deadlines, quality standards, and profitability targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment on project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and escalate resource or quality issues when required.
- Maintain project documentation, trackers, status reports, and production records.
- Deliver final client deliverables, ensuring quality and compliance with client expectations.
- Manage project budgets, invoicing, change orders, and financial performance.
- Ensure projects meet client KPIs and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve delivery outcomes.
- Support business growth by identifying account expansion opportunities and contributing to proposals.
- Drive process improvements and support initiatives to enhance localization maturity and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members.
- Ensure compliance with RWS production processes and project management best practices.
- Take ownership of continuous professional development and contribute to overall team success.
Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of project management or related experience.
- Experience managing multiple complex, deadline-driven projects.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Strong planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, financial tracking, invoicing, and profitability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Linguistic Validation and localization project workflows.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycle management.
- Experience maintaining project documentation, reporting, and KPI tracking.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage project risks and support revenue growth.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise project management systems.
- Experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS), CAT tools, and AI-assisted productivity tools.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
- Degree in Project Management, Business, or equivalent experience (preferred).
- PMP certification (preferred).
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages (preferred).
