We now have an exciting opportunity available for a People Assist Manager to join our People Operations team in our Melbourne Southbank office on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Head of People Operations, you will lead the People Assist team, shaping a high-performing employee services experience that delivers trusted advice, operational excellence and seamless support across the employee lifecycle.
You will play a pivotal role in driving service quality, governance, compliance and continuous improvement while supporting organisational change and strategic people initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the People Assist team, building capability and fostering a customer-focused, high-performance culture.
Oversee the delivery of employee services across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring efficient and effective support for employees and leaders.
Provide guidance and oversight on complex operational people matters, ensuring appropriate triage, risk management and escalation where required.
Manage enterprise agreement administration, including pay increases, conditions management and coordination of payroll and system impacts.
Ensure strong HRIS governance and process integrity across Workday and ServiceNow, maintaining data accuracy and compliance controls.
Lead the operational delivery of people projects and organisational change initiatives while driving continuous improvement, automation and increased self-service adoption.
Your Background
Proven experience leading an HR Operations, Employee Services, Shared Services or People Assist function within a complex organisation.
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial instruments and HR operational governance.
Demonstrated experience managing complex employee queries and operational people matters with sound judgement and a strong customer focus.
Hands-on experience working with HRIS platforms, ideally Workday and ServiceNow, with a focus on data integrity and process optimisation.
A track record of successfully leading operational change, process improvement and service excellence initiatives.
