We are looking for a commercially astute, technically strong, and influential project leader who thrives in complex building projects, can navigate India's regulatory construction landscape, and has a proven track record of delivering major industrial projects on time and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of a major greenfield manufacturing project, from business case development and FEL/FEED through construction, commissioning, startup, and operational handover.

  • Take full accountability for project scope, budget, schedule, governance, and overall capital project delivery performance.

  • Drive collaboration across global engineering, operations, business development, procurement, EPC contractors, and regional stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement robust project execution, procurement, contracting, risk management, and change management strategies.

  • Ensure world-class Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards are embedded throughout all project phases.

  • Lead engagement with Indian government agencies, regulatory bodies, permitting authorities, and local stakeholders to secure all required approvals and maintain statutory compliance.

  • Oversee engineering design activities, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, civil, process, and infrastructure deliverables meet project requirements.

  • Manage EPC partners, contractors, consultants, and vendors to achieve exceptional cost, quality, schedule, and safety outcomes.

  • Provide executive-level reporting, project governance updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership teams.

  • Lead commissioning, qualification, performance testing, and successful transition of the manufacturing facility into operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years of Project Management experience delivering large-scale industrial or manufacturing construction projects.

  • Proven Project Management experience gained during the construction and delivery of a Chemical Manufacturing Plant, preferably within a greenfield environment.

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering at least one major capital project valued at $100 Million or greater, with overall responsibility for end-to-end delivery.

  • Deep understanding of Indian regulatory, environmental, permitting, statutory compliance, and infrastructure requirements associated with industrial developments.

  • Strong working knowledge of EPC execution models, contract management, risk mitigation, claims management, and procurement strategies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Indian regional languages, with value placed on South and West Indian language capabilities.

  • Experience leading multicultural, cross-functional international project teams and managing multiple stakeholders across different regions.

  • Strong technical understanding of engineering drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, material balances, construction methodologies, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.

  • PMP Certification and Six Sigma Principles blended with previous experience within Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Advanced Materials, or a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
