Role
The Residence Butler is responsible for delivering exceptional personalized service to guests staying in assigned residences. This role anticipates guest needs, ensures seamless residence operations, and upholds Aman's luxury service standards to create memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Deliver personalized, intuitive, and exceptional service that exceeds guest expectations.
Maintain the highest standards of grooming, hygiene, and professional appearance in accordance with Aman standards.
Comply with all Aman policies, procedures, service standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of resort facilities, services, and local experiences to confidently assist guests.
Review guest profiles and anticipate individual preferences and requirements.
Prepare assigned residences to ensure they are fully equipped, immaculate, and service-ready at all times.
Maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance condition of assigned residences, reporting any defects promptly.
Respond promptly to guest requests and coordinate effectively with Butler Supporter, Butler Supervisors, Residence Manager, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Ensure all service equipment, amenities, and operational supplies are complete and in excellent condition.
Minimize breakage, wastage, and unnecessary operating costs through careful handling of resort assets.
Promote resort services and experiences through appropriate upselling opportunities.
Support monthly inventories and maintain accurate operational records as assigned.
Attend departmental briefings, training sessions, and continuous learning activities.
Maintain effective communication with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
Report guest feedback, incidents, maintenance issues, or operational concerns promptly.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Butler Supervisor or Residence Management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related discipline.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, or Guest Services within a luxury or 5-star hotel/resort.
Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with a positive, proactive, and service-oriented attitude.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with guests.
Able to work independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and service quality.
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Good command of spoken and written English. Additional language skills (Korean, Mandarin, Russian, or other languages) are considered an advantage.
