Sous Chef – Gastropub

Are you a talented Sous Chef looking for your next challenge in a kitchen that champions fresh, seasonal cooking? We’re so excited to be assisting a much-loved countryside gastropub, set in a beautiful village just outside Bristol, as they search for an ambitious Sous Chef to become an integral part of their close-knit team.

You'll be wondering what's in it for you as the Sous Chef…

• £35,000 per annum plus £7,000 service charge
• Working alongside a passionate and supportive Head Chef
• Working 45 hours per week
• Cooking with fresh, locally sourced seasonal ingredients
• Opportunity to develop your skills within a quality-led kitchen

Responsibilities as the Sous Chef…

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Preparing and delivering beautifully presented dishes using the finest seasonal produce
• Leading the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and ensuring consistently high standards
• Mentoring and developing junior chefs, helping to build a positive and motivated brigade
• Assisting with stock control, ordering and maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
