Engineering Manager (Onsite, Lahore, Remittance Salary)

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience with the PHP framework, specifically Laravel.
• Strong proficiency in SQL databases, including MS SQL and MySQL, as well as version control systems such as Git.
• Good understanding of JavaScript, jQuery, and frontend integration.
• Experience with unit testing and writing clean, testable code.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Experience working with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux administration.
• Familiarity with Nginx, MariaDB, and Galera Cluster in high-availability environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven team leadership and mentorship experience within an agile development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, enhancement, and optimization of web and backend applications built using PHP Laravel.
• Design, architect, and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance technical solutions.
• Maintain high code quality by following best practices, including OOP, SOLID principles, and unit testing.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers, fostering their technical development and overall productivity.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and key stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver product features.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct code reviews, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies to improve development processes and team performance.
• Implement secure coding standards to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Enforce robust authentication, access control, encryption, and other application security best practices.
• Partner with the DevOps team to maintain secure cloud infrastructure and deployment environments across AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Optimize database performance and server efficiency across MySQL, MS SQL, and MariaDB with Galera Cluster.
• Configure, manage, and maintain Nginx, Linux-based servers, and distributed system environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and performance tracking solutions to ensure application reliability and system stability.
