Description
• Establish a clear direction for all the activities (in the unit) in line with the Corporate and Supply Operation strategy. To create constructive relationships with FL, other function located in the units - not reporting directly the position - and to contribute to ensure the continuous improvement of the business.
• Establish operating budgets; monitor the cost and effectiveness of production activities to optimise resources, prioritise spending, and achieve volume, quality, and manufacturing standards.
• Set, and monitor the performance of the supply unit against, standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, and human resource management.
• Develop and implement a variety of operating policies and procedures (in conjunction with corporate subject matter experts) to ensure that the plant meets it current and future production targets and quality standards.
• Allocate labour and capital resources to maximise productivity.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant's production capabilities.
• Liaise with functional or operational management to develop and implement demand and supply strategies that are appropriate for the business needs and consistent with the organization’s strategy.
• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of functional and operational managers or other professionals (for example in human resources, finance, production, maintenance) to ensure that the plant meets its established targets and standards.
• Maintain strong connections with other colleagues within KONE to share best practices and to understand current and future requirements.
