Role Summary
This role will operate as the end-to-end design authority for the Services BI domain. The charter is to:
- Own end-to-end BI and data solution architecture across business processes, systems, and data domains supporting the Services business
- Translate business strategy into scalable BI/data solutions, ensuring alignment across upstream and downstream systems
- Drive data product rigor, including standardized artifacts, data models, governance frameworks, and alignment to enterprise master data
- Provide executive-level visibility into risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, with clear recommendations
- Ensure architectural decisions scale across regions and offerings, minimizing rework and fragmentation
- Partner cross-functionally with Business, IT, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Enable and coach teams on architectural standards, best practices, and decision frameworks
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end BI solutions spanning data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization
- Define and enforce data governance, quality, and consistency standards across services-related domains (e.g., contracts, entitlements, billing, customer lifecycle)
- Establish and maintain data models and semantic layers for consistent reporting and analytics
- Lead solution design reviews, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and long-term target state
- Identify gaps in current systems and processes; propose future-state architectures that support services growth
- Drive adoption of a methodology-first approach, focusing on reusable patterns and scalable design
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape data strategy and roadmap for the Services business
- Define and enforce data product standards — ownership, contracts, SLAs, quality thresholds, lineage, and documentation — for all Services analytical assets.
- Chair or actively contribute to architecture review boards, design authority forums, and change advisory processes for the Services BI domain.
- Partner with finance, sales, services delivery, IT, and transformation leaders to align on prioritization and ensure architectural choices support commercial outcomes (recurring revenue, margin, attach, renewal rate, time-to-cash).
- Challenge the status quo where existing process or system designs cannot scale to a Services-led business — and propose pragmatic, sequenced paths forward.
- Support prioritization and sequencing of initiatives based on business value and architectural impact
- Coach BI engineers, data modelers, and functional architects to raise the design bar across the team.
- Build reusable patterns, reference architectures, and playbooks so that future Services initiatives start from a stronger baseline.
- Create the conditions for autonomous, accountable squads — clear interfaces, shared standards, and unambiguous data ownership.
Knowledge, Skills & qualifications
- 10+ years in enterprise data, BI, or solution architecture roles, with significant exposure to Services or other recurring/contractual business models.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end architecture for cross-functional transformation programs in a multinational environment.
- Hands-on familiarity with at least one major CRM (e.g., HP Dynamics, SFDC), one major ERP (e.g., SAP,), and modern data platforms (e.g., cloud data warehouses, Lakehouse architectures, semantic/metrics layers).
- Track record of producing high-quality architectural artifacts and governance frameworks that have been adopted and scaled.
- AI/ML fluency for BI: familiarity with how AI/ML and GenAI capabilities are being embedded into modern BI and data platforms, including augmented analytics, semantic search, copilots, and ML-driven forecasting, and the architectural implications for data products, governance, and trust.
- AI-ready architecture is a plus: ability to design BI and data architectures that are AI-ready by default with governance guardrails required for safe enterprise AI/ML and GenAI consumption.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional languages a plus given the global scope.
- Passion for data & delivering data driven outcomes
- Able to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a global and multicultural environment
- Strategic mindset, attention to detail and capable of independently managing complex processes that touch multiple stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and project management skills; ability to work across in person as well as virtual team environments
- Self-starter requiring minimum training or on-boarding effort
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Statistics/ Mathematics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in data analytics, data engineering, data modeling, or a related field, with significant exposure to Services or other recurring/contractual business models.
Preferred Certifications
• Programming Language/s Certification (SQL, Python, or similar)
Impact & Scope
