Role Responsibilities
Familiarize yourself with all QA tasks, especially with vendor management and reporting
Definition and analysis of reports to improve the planning and production processes of our products.
Develop profound XML and PDF knowledge.
Create quality production criteria for scientific publications. Create and update instructions and guidelines with the focus on automation of services.
Manage own projects which require the cooperation of participants from other departments and ensure the implementation of the changes agreed upon.
Second and third level support for post publication corrections
Supporting and advising our internal Production Colleagues, our Vendors and Publishing on policies and production standards (copyediting, typesetting, printing)
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Occupational career or study in scientific publishing is an advantage
Very good understanding of print and online publishing metadata and formats, especially XML, HTML and PDF
Very good technical knowledge and the wish to shape processes actively and the readiness to take responsibility
Strong problem solving and organizational, i.e. priority oriented, skills
Experience with MS-office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), LaTeX and PDF
Ability to handle multiple, long running and diverse projects at the same time
Excellent knowledge (business fluent) of English language, further languages beneficial
Excellent intercultural skills required for working in an international team
Experienced Project Manager and work experience in international projects
