The Graduate Coordinator for Campus Life is a part-time graduate assistant position within the Division of Student Services. The position provides operational, administrative, and programmatic support across multiple Student Services functional areas, including fraternity and sorority life, fraternity and sorority housing administration, student accountability, student engagement initiatives, campus programming, and special projects.


The Graduate Coordinator assists with fraternity and sorority housing administration, facility inspections, chapter support, student organization initiatives, event coordination, and departmental projects that contribute to the overall student experience. The position also serves as a conduct officer for assigned student conduct matters, with primary responsibility for fraternity and sorority conduct cases, utilizing a developmental and educational approach to promote student learning and accountability.


Designed as a professional development opportunity, this position provides broad, hands-on experience in Student Affairs and Higher Education Administration while supporting the completion of a graduate degree. The Graduate Coordinator manages assigned projects with a high degree of independence while collaborating with professional staff across the Division of Student Services to support divisional priorities. This position does not participate in professional on-call rotation. However, will be helping in overseeing and coordinating after-hours social events with the Director of Student Engagement and Leadership. 

Requirements

Essential Functions:

Fraternity & Sorority Life Operations 

  • Assist with fraternity and sorority projects and operational initiatives assigned through Student Services.
  • Assist with and attend College Panhellenic and IFC Recruitment.
  • Assist with fraternity and sorority housing check-in, check-out and other occupancy processes throughout the academic year, including management and maintenance of the Room Condition Reports (RCRs). 
  • Conduct monthly walkthroughs and inspections of fraternity and sorority facilities to assess cleanliness, maintenance needs, safety concerns, policy compliance, occupancy concerns, and overall facility conditions.

Student Accountability & Conduct

  • Serve as a conduct officer for assigned student conduct matters in accordance with College policies and departmental procedures, utilizing a developmental and educational approach to promote student learning and accountability.
  • Prepare case summaries and recommend educational outcomes and sanctions in consultation with professional staff.
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of assigned educational outcomes and sanctions.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation, records, and follow-up communications.
  • Refer complex, high-risk, or Title IX-related matters to appropriate professional staff.

Student Engagement & Campus Programming 

  • Assist with planning and implementation of campus-wide programs, traditions, and student engagement initiatives.
  • Provide logistical support for student organization events and departmental programming.
  • Support student organization administration, leadership initiatives, and event coordination.
  • Assist with divisional assessment and program evaluation projects.
  • Assist with Parents Association Communication and Programming Logistics.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative and operational support for Student Services initiatives, divisional priorities, and special projects.
  • Attend required meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. 
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment in accordance with College policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Student Services operations.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Graduate Coordinator for Fraternity & Sorority Life and Student Engagement position provides a comprehensive graduate assistantship package designed to support both professional experience and graduate education.

  • Stipend: $16,000 annual stipend, paid semi-monthly over a 10-month appointment (August through May).
  • Graduate Tuition Support: Tuition assistance covering up to two (2) graduate courses per semester during the fall and spring terms and one (1) graduate course during the summer term, consistent with institutional policy and graduate program requirements. This benefit is intended to support timely completion of an approved graduate degree.
  • Housing: A private, furnished on-campus apartment is provided for the duration of the appointment, including standard utilities.
  • Meal Plan: A campus meal plan is provided during the academic year in accordance with College dining operations.
  • Summer Housing: Upon approval, the Graduate Coordinator may remain in campus housing during the summer in exchange for limited operational support, as determined by Student Services.
  • Professional Development: Opportunities to participate in trainings, conferences (as funding permits), and professional development activities that support career preparation in Student Affairs and Higher Education. 

  

This is a two-year graduate assistant appointment contingent upon satisfactory job performance, continued enrollment in an approved graduate program, and institutional need. Continued appointment is evaluated annually based on performance and academic progress.
