About this Position
This role develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of operational accounting and financial reporting processes, serving as a primary liaison between Operations, Cash Management, IT, and Financial Reporting. This role supports cross-functional collaboration, ensures accurate financial processing and reporting, and contributes to process improvement initiatives.The salary range for this role is $62K - $72K.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship, now or in the future.
This is hybrid position, that requires 2 days onsite in the Duluth, Georgia office and 3 days working remotely weekly.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for a broad range of accounting and financial reporting activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reports, commission validations, balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and department procedure documentation.
Ensure balance sheet accounts are accurately reconciled and current. Collect, analyze, and summarize financial information, including account activity, variances, and trends, to provide meaningful insights to management. Proactively communicate issues and recommendations as needed.
Perform a variety of accounting, analytical, and special project assignments as requested.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners across departments to establish trust and credibility. Demonstrate strong listening and analytical skills and confidently recommend process improvements and solutions when appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Understanding of accounting controls, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent verbal, written, and organizational communication skills.
Effective presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive working relationships across departments.
Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts, systems, and processes quickly.
Ability to ask thoughtful, insightful questions and challenge existing processes constructively.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while recognizing when collaboration or guidance is needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as business needs require.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of progressive accounting experience
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
FINRA Series 6 or Series 7 license (or ability to obtain)
Advanced Excel proficiency
Workday Financials experience
BlackLine experience
Power Query and Power BI experience
