Purpose of the role

The Domain Transformation Manager plays a key role in shaping and delivering strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring they address key business challenges and deliver measurable improvements across financial, operational, customer and colleague outcomes.

Working within a matrix environment, the role leads the development, design and execution of high-impact initiatives, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and sustainable adoption of change.

 

 

Your responsibilities


Transformation shaping & design 

  • Lead the identification and definition of transformation opportunities through diagnostic activity, including data analysis, process mapping, stakeholder engagement and workshops.  

  • Formulate clear, evidence-based recommendations to address business challenges and opportunities.  

  • Design transformation initiatives, including prioritisation, solution development and definition of expected benefits.  

 

Delivery & execution 

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned initiatives, ensuring alignment to scope, timelines, quality and budget.  

  • Manage risks, issues and dependencies to ensure successful and controlled delivery.  

  • Drive benefits realisation by embedding outputs into operational processes and ways of working.  

 

Stakeholder & cross-functional leadership 

  • Build strong relationships across business units, acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and executives.  

  • Coordinate activity across directorates and supporting functions (e.g. Finance, Digital, People, Procurement) to enable progress.  

  • Communicate clearly and credibly, providing updates, insights and recommendations to leadership.  

 

Resource & performance management 

  • Manage delivery resources, including internal teams and third-party suppliers where required.  

  • Track and report on performance metrics including time, cost, quality, scope and benefits realisation.  

 

Innovation & continuous improvement 

  • Bring external and group-wide insights to identify new ideas and opportunities for transformation.  

  • Promote innovative thinking and continuous improvement across initiatives and delivery approaches.  

 

 

Your skills, experience and qualifications


Qualifications and experience 

  • Demonstrable experience shaping, delivering and embedding transformation initiatives.  

  • Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments with cross-functional delivery.  

  • Strong experience in business problem solving, including evaluation of trade-offs and solution development.  

  • Experience managing strategic change initiatives is essential.  

  • Project, programme or portfolio management experience is desirable.  

  • Degree or equivalent experience preferred.  

 

Skills and capabilities 

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement at senior levels.  

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  

  • Ability to lead teams effectively in a matrix environment.  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.  

  • Financial awareness and ability to assess the economic impact of transformation initiatives.  

  • Understanding of digital tools and technologies, including data analytics and process automation.  

  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.  

  • Experience working with and managing third-party suppliers.
