Purpose of the role:
The Medical Sales Representative (Cardiometabolic) is responsible for the effective and ethical promotion of Novo Nordisk and its diabetes and obesity products according to internal procedures and all applicable legal regulations, with the goal of delivering the sales targets for the area and for the company.
This role drives diabetes and obesity sales performance by executing the marketing strategy in the territory, including customer targeting, segmentation, and maximizing both new and existing diabetes and obesity business opportunities to achieve territory sales targets.
The role also represents the Novo Nordisk Way, values, and commitments in daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
About the role:
The Medical Sales Representative - Cardiometabolic is accountable for delivering agreed diabetes and obesity sales performance versus targets and marketing objectives. Key responsibilities include managing diabetes and obesity accounts in both private and public sectors, providing standard medical information based on the SPC upon clinical requests, developing and adjusting call plans to identify new diabetes and obesity business opportunities, and building long-term relationships and networks with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and KOLs.
The role also includes increasing customer awareness of cardiometabolic conditions and diabetes and obesity products in the territory, ensuring high-quality planned field calls, and effective follow-up and call evaluation after visits.
In addition, the position requires collecting and reporting customer and field activity data, including competitor activities, participation in congress promotional activities and symposia, and managing expenses and the promotional budget to achieve the desired sales size and structure (including proposing corrective actions when needed).
Key Qualifications
Education requirements:
- Medical background (preferably Medicine, Dentistry & MSc. in Pharmacy).
Work experience:
- 2 years of experience as a medical representative in the pharma industry.
- Proven success within Pharma Sales.
- Proven experience in the Out-Of-Pocket market (preferable).
