Description
Are you passionate about shaping the future of natural food ingredients? We are partnering with a global leader in natural color solutions to identify a Senior Global Product Manager who will drive the strategy, innovation, and commercial success of a portfolio of natural color pigments used across food, beverage, and pet food applications!
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for developing global product strategies, optimizing portfolio performance, and translating customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence into profitable growth initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with Commercial, R&D, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and regional teams to bring innovative products to market and maximize portfolio value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global product portfolio strategies and long-term roadmaps.
- Drive product lifecycle management, portfolio optimization, and innovation priorities.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead pricing strategy, profitability analysis, and portfolio performance reviews.
- Partner cross-functionally to prioritize innovation, support product launches, and execute go-to-market strategies.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on assigned product categories and represent the portfolio in key customer engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in product management, portfolio management, strategy, innovation, or commercial leadership within food ingredients, natural colors, flavors, specialty chemicals, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience managing a multi-product or multi-category portfolio simultaneously, with clear accountability for performance across more than one product line.
- Technical familiarity with natural pigments - including plant extracts, fermentation-derived colorants, or microalgae - is a significant advantage; a genuine curiosity about color science and application technology is essential.
- Strong commercial acumen and proven understanding of portfolio economics, pricing, profitability, and value creation across complex product ranges.
- Experience influencing innovation investment decisions and managing product lifecycle strategies across multiple categories.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable business results, managing multiple concurrent priorities without losing focus or quality.
- Experience managing performance through KPIs, dashboards, and structured business reviews in a matrixed, global organization.
- Proven track record of driving change and continuous improvement within complex, cross-functional environments.
- Continuous improvement mindset: familiarity with Lean, or similar methodologies is strongly preferred, with the ability to apply these principles to commercial and product management processes - not just operations.
- Approximately 20% travel, including occasional international travel.
Base salary range of $145,000 - $200,000 commensurate with experience. Other benefits include bonus opportunity, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off. This compensation range reflects the company's expectations for this position at the time of posting. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, alignment with role responsibilities, education, demonstrated skills, and performance during the interview process.
