## The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
## This role in summary
In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for design-related aspects of projects. Responsible for developing/ reviewing complex CAD models. Assists in coordination of project activities to ensure project objectives are met. Applies robust CAD design principles and tools in completing tasks. Acts as a consultant in an area of expertise. Recommends & delivers creative and innovative design ideas. They front-load design validation through CeTol (Tolerance Analysis), DFM Pro, and VR/AR simulations, enabling the early identification of integration issues during virtual teardowns. They proactively resolve root-cause design challenges and coordinate design changes (CN) to ensure on-time project delivery.
## Your responsibilities will include
1. Create / Modify complex CAD model (concepts / remodeling) & production drawings of electrical / mechanical components
2. Preferred qualifications include tooling knowledge or certification from NDTF or IGTR.
3. CAD data management using Windchill PDMlink.
4. Application and representation of GD&T as per required standard (ASME Y14.5-2009 / ISO 1101)
5. Plan and organize multiple tasks, normally within the context of a complex project, resulting in successful delivery on time and with Quality
6. Create Model Shop / Lab requests / SBD requests and support in Virtual/ Physical build as applicable
7. Perform Subsystem / component level CAD analysis / Geometric studies
8. Use CAD tools (Modelcheck, Creo View, DFM Pro etc) to verify CAD design changes for manufacturing, assembly complying with drafting standards
9. Execute CN to document complex and co-ordinated design changes
10. Determine (or confirm) effect of change on other components or assemblies through CAD analysis / geometric studies within subsystems.
11. Understand/ review requirements to determine efforts necessary to support multiple complex projects with prioritization and planning
12. Performs complex tolerance analysis (CeTol) and validation using CAD tools.
## Minimum requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Master’s Degree in Engineering
EXPERIENCE: B.E: 3-6 years or M.E: 2-4 years
TECHNICAL
1. CAD Creo level 4 or equivalent industry experience, Knowledge and adoption of CAD process defined within organizations
2. PLM level 3 or equivalent industry experience, proficient in managing PLM CAD data & design change process
3. WPD Level 3 or equivalent industry experience in product development
4. GD&T Level 2, fair understanding of applying GD&T on CAD model / drawings per ASME Y14.5-2009
5. System Engineering Level 2 or equivalent industry experience
6. Continuous Improvement level 3 or equivalent industry experience
7. OpeX level 2 or equivalent industry experience, basic understanding on OpeX tools
8. Problem solving level 2 or equivalent industry experience, Understanding of problem solving tools
## Preferred skills and experiences
Key Deliverables
1. Deliver the complete design activities of EL Mech and Hydraulics subsystem.
2. Responsible for NPD, EPI and Quality projects design deliverables across EL Mech & Hydraulics Sub systems including Racks/ Water Distribution/ Wash & Dry System modules.

2. Team player, flexibility in adapting to quickly changing business task/project priorities.
3. Good business communication (written/verbal) and Presentation skills.
Other Experiences:
1. Basic Awareness of all Products / Platforms of Whirlpool - Understands regional differences in product specifications / needs (Function Specific) - Able to linkage Component level spec with VoC
2. B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering / BE / B Tech Mechanical (All regions)
