Your Position at St John of God Berwick Hospital
You will be an integral member of a nursing team to provide optimal patient care for all patients at St John of God Berwick, their families and significant others.
We are currently recruiting a permanent part-time 0.6 FTE night shift Registered Nurse for our Surgical Ward.
This role is based in our Surgical Ward, providing specialised care to patients undergoing orthopaedic and neurosurgical procedures, as well as those requiring pain management. You will provide high-quality, patient-centred care while working collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to support positive clinical outcomes throughout the patient journey.
Embrace a competency-driven practice, utilising nationally recognised competencies to support safe and effective care delivery, including ANCI standards.
Assess patients' conditions and individual needs, including completing relevant risk assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised nursing care plans.
Involve patients and, where practicable, their families or significant others in the planning and delivery of care.
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation relating to patient care and clinical pathways.
Participate in professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills, including in-service education and further learning opportunities.
Contribute to ongoing professional development through involvement in relevant professional organisations and special interest groups.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and will demonstrate recent clinical experience in a surgical speciality.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with analytical and teamwork skills. You possess recent clinical experience in an area that relevant to a surgical environment.

The Benefits
Salary: $85,480 to $107,881 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus 12% superannuation
Permanent part-time position, up to 54 hours per fortnight on permanent night shift.
