Join ACCIONA and be part of a team delivering one of New Zealand's most significant transport infrastructure projects. The Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana - Ara Tūhono project will enhance connectivity, improve safety and support regional growth, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
About Opportunity
As Technical Interface Lead, you'll coordinate technical interfaces across engineering, design, construction and commissioning for the Northland Corridor project, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You'll work closely with design consultants, construction teams, utility providers, clients and regulatory authorities, providing strategic oversight of interface management to keep the program on track and risks under control across the project lifecycle.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Guide risk and schedule decisions across the design program
- Manage complex projects with tight critical path constraints
- Oversee consultant agreements, performance and contract terms
- Resolve complex stakeholder conflicts across the project
- Track design approvals through robust systems
- Champion constructability and value engineering
- Oversee Design Controls and Engineering Management Systems compliance
Required Skills and Competencies
- Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong grasp of design, construction and risk management
- Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills
- Experience in interface management on major infrastructure projects
The project will initially be based in Auckland and then move to an office between Warkworth and Wellsford.
