Description
Meliore is seeking a 6 month-maternity cover to lead the Asia Digital Hub (ADH) as the in-house team driving the digital strategies and tactics for GSCC’s Asia teams, providing direction, innovation, people management and cross country/regional coordination, to deliver high-impact digital campaigns and promotions. While working aligned with Asia’s strategic directions and priorities, this role is expected to translate aspirational campaign objectives and campaign goals set out by national & regional desks into impacts and outcomes, through digital strategic acumen, innovation and facilitative approach and collaborative mindset.
How you'll contribute
- Craft a clear, coherent and adaptive Asia digital strategy that anchors the digital activities for the region, and serves Asia regional & cross-country goals.
- Build a high-performing team of digital strategists across multiple countries of the region.
- Elevate stronger regional narrative and visibility of Asia’s green competitiveness, climate leadership, and resistance to fossil fuels investment through digital channels.
- Establish a closer digital feedback loop at each of the country & the Asia regional level, running through : content design —> target audience segmentation—> distribution strategy —> monitoring & evaluation—> feedback to improve, to better inform campaign & national teams, and to better articulate the team’s impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and continuously enhance the regional digital strategy and implementation roadmap, leveraging data-driven insights, emerging digital trends, and best practices in digital communications。
- Contribute to the formulation of the Asia strategic framework by providing expert input and guidance from digital aspects.
- Ensure strategic alignment with Asia's priorities and country-level goals to maximize digital reach, engagement, and overall impact.
- Serve as the primary digital adviser to Asia Director and regional & country leads on campaign planning, content distribution and platform innovation.
People Management & coordination
- Direct-line manage 3-4 digital strategists sitting in Asia.
- Provide dotted-line management, coaching and performance feedback to Digital Strategists sitting in country teams, to assist their work aligns with national priorities.
- Champion the professional development, capacity building and well-being of digital strategists in Asia, fostering an inclusive, high-performing and innovation-driven team culture.
Cross-Team Coordination
- Serve as the strategic liaison in regards to digital practice between the Asia Digital Hub and the International Digital Hub, to ensure state-of-art digital delivery.
- Convene regular cross-country engagement, including check-ins, knowledge-sharing and joint planning across digital staff in Japan, Korea, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Asia Regional Team and other Asian markets to facilitate joint-learning, innovation & experiments.
- Manage relationships with external partners and vendors where needed for specialized digital support.
Monitoring, Innovation & learning
- Monitor and analyze digital campaign performance and results to feedback the campaign design and implementation.
- Lead experimentation and piloting new approaches, platforms or formats that can enhance GSCC Asia’s digital reach and influence.
- By liasoning with the IDH, together with the CDL’s operational team, ensure the digital security and risk management are followed and integrated into planning and execution.
Required Competencies & Skills
- Proven experience leading multi-country digital communications or campaigns with at least 8 years of experience. At least 5 years experience in related fields.
- Strong people-management and coaching skills across direct and dotted-line staff.
- Deep understanding of digital trends, data analytics, and content production.
- Ability to work across cultures and time zones, and to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.

- Proven professional experience in campaign strategy, digital campaigning, strategic communications, campaigning, and/or journalism, with a strong understanding of how communications can shape public debates.
- Strong hands-on experience in designing and delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns, ideally in issue-based, political, or public-interest contexts.
- A strong understanding of audience targeting, audience insight, digital engagement, and campaign optimization, including experience using analytics, experimentation, or testing to improve campaign performance.
- A solid understanding of the political, media, and digital landscape in Asia and how regional dynamics intersect with national contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in project and campaign management, including setting priorities, managing timelines, and coordinating across multiple stakeholders and teams.
- Experience working across diverse teams and geographies in an international or regional environment, ideally across several Asian countries.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to bring people together around a clear plan, hold workstreams together, and offer supportive, practical feedback.
- Experience working with digital communication strategies and tools and collaborating effectively with digital, operations, media, and other functional roles.
- Strong judgment, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with colleagues and partners in different cultural and political contexts.
- Excellent time and priority management, high level of self-motivation and independence, a can-do mentality, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Fluency in English and ideally at least one Asian regional language.
- A commitment to an inclusive and empowering approach to teamwork and management.

Location: flexibly remote.
