Reporting to the Global Media Team Lead, you will partner with global and market stakeholders to develop integrated media strategies and plans that deliver against business objectives, unlock growth opportunities, and maximize campaign effectiveness across both traditional and digital channels.
As part of the Global Media team, you will help markets elevate media performance through strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and continuous optimization. You will lead and support the end-to-end media planning process, including channel strategy, agency management, campaign measurement and reporting, budget and performance management, market governance, and the adoption of AI-driven solutions and digital transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and business impact.
What you’ll be doing
Support and guide local markets across the globe by translating business priorities into actionable media strategies, sharing global best practices, and identifying innovative media opportunities that drive growth and performance.
Coach and challenge market media plans to ensure alignment with global objectives, while partnering with the Marketing Communications team and agency partners to generate audience insights, inform targeting approaches, and develop effective media and communications strategies.
Develop and maintain global media frameworks and planning guidelines, including media investment principles, budget thresholds, and strategic planning standards, enabling consistent and effective execution across markets.
Lead agency partnerships and performance management, fostering strong collaboration with global and local agency teams to ensure high-quality strategic thinking, operational excellence, innovation, and the delivery of business results.
Oversee global media investments and performance, providing visibility to Shell Global leadership on budget allocation, campaign effectiveness, and KPI delivery, while identifying opportunities to optimize spend and maximize return on investment.
What you bring
A strategic and commercially minded media professional with the ability to translate business and marketing objectives into effective, insight-driven media strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
Deep expertise in B2C paid media, with a strong understanding of digital channels, audience targeting, campaign optimization, and performance measurement across the media ecosystem.
Broad knowledge of both traditional and digital media, including media planning principles, channel selection, and key media performance metrics.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced global environment.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of simplifying complex media, data, and technology concepts for diverse audiences and senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence decision-making, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, markets, and agency partners.
Demonstrated success in stakeholder management, balancing global priorities with local market needs while driving alignment and accountability.
Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones and participate in virtual meetings outside standard business hours when required.
Ability to support a diverse portfolio of markets, with a primary focus on Europe, while adapting to varying market dynamics and business priorities.
Willingness to undertake occasional international travel as required to support business objectives and stakeholder engagement.
