As a Barista – you deliver consistent high-quality coffee while creating a welcoming, guest-focused experience. This role blends beverage craftsmanship, speed and accuracy, helping the coffee venue run smoothly while assisting with Deli food operations.MEETING PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
- Greet Guests warmly, professionally, and with genuine hospitality.
- Taek beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently, clarify preferences and answer menu questions with confidence.
- Follow defined recipes, beverage specifications, and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the coffee bar, equipment, and counters.
- Clean and maintain coffee equipment, report malfunctions promptly.
- Support Inventory control, restocking, rotation, and product dating.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure daily-smooth operations.
- Adhere to all store policies, programs and directives.

WHAT QUALIFIES YOU
- One year of prior barista, coffee shop, and deli experience preferred.
- ServSafe certification preferred or must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised int eh hiring process.
MUST HAVE SKILLS
- Attention to detail required, as well as strong, organization, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to clearly explain and demonstrate concepts and skills to others.
- Ability to read and interpret general business procedures.
- Ability to effectively respond to questions from group of associates, managers, guests and the public.
- Ability to work mathematical concepts to apply concepts such as percentages, rations and proportion to practical situations.
- Ability to consult collaboratively define problems collects data, establish facts, draw conclusions and propose solutions.
- Ability to interpret company policies and procedures and apply them in a consistent and fair manner.
While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to:
- Talk and hear:
- See and adjust focus to include close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision;
- Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl;
- Handle objects, tools, and controls, reach with arms and hands.
- Must be able to climb a ladder to retrieve items stored in elevated or overhead racks or shelves located above refrigerated boxes, in stockrooms and other storage areas.
- Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must occasionally exert or lift up to 70 pounds carrying boxes of bulk containers, forms and other materials and frequently lift moderate amounts of weight.
- Must have sufficient memory retention skills to memorize recipes and specials.
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to check orders, invoices, and other written documents.
- Must be able to sweep and mob floors, dust and face shelves, and lift and carry out trash containers to be emptied in an outside bin.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:
- A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
- A moderate-to-loud noise level (operations areas).
- Moving mechanical and/or electrical components.
- At times may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
