Responsibilities:
• Acting as a conduit of market intelligence into the organization, continuously monitoring industry trends, competitive shifts, and emerging technologies.
• Identifying nonorganic growth opportunities, including partnerships, data acquisitions, and ecosystem plays that align with strategic objectives.
• Conducting competitive intelligence assessments and recommending strategic initiatives that create differentiation and advantage.
• Building, cultivating, and managing strategic relationships with key partners, vendors, data providers, industry associations, and innovators.
• Evaluating, negotiating, and driving execution of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with priority markets and business needs.
• Driving joint go-to-market initiatives, co-marketing opportunities, and collaborative product ideation with external partners.
• Sourcing and evaluating new data sets, alternative data assets, and related content to expand the product portfolio and strengthen market differentiation.
• Assessing the strategic fit, financial soundness, and execution feasibility of new data or content partners.
• Supporting data portfolio gap analyses, quality assessments, and valuation exercises to determine acquisition priorities.
• Developing business cases for new growth opportunities, including financial models, pricing considerations, and ROI analysis.
• Partnering with Strategy, Product, Sales, and Operations teams to align new opportunities with multiyear strategic plans and investment priorities.
• Identifying and recommending new product concepts or enhancements based on market needs and partnership insights.
• Collaborating across a matrixed organization to ensure insights, opportunities, and partnerships are translated into execution.
• Providing thought leadership, including preparing executive presentations, industry insights, and market opportunity briefs.
• Influencing go-to-market strategy, innovation pipelines, and solution-line investments by bringing in high-impact external perspectives.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in market strategy, business development, partnerships, data commercialization, or related fields.
- Proven track record sourcing or acquiring data, building partnerships, negotiating complex agreements, and shaping strategic initiatives.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with demonstrated ability to build business cases and assess emerging opportunities.
