P5Job Summary:
This position provides overall Project Management responsibility for major innovation projects, cost savings initiatives, and product changes that drive business growth and operational efficiencies. The role requires strong leadership to guide cross-functional teams through challenges, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of complex projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to influence across business units, coordinate internal and external resources, and serve as a mentor and example of best-in-class project management practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Leadership
- Lead planning and implementation of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and charters using MS Project or similar tools.
- Define project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
- Monitor progress, resolve conflicts, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Report project status and issues regularly to stakeholders and PMO.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Assemble and guide project teams, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively across functions (e.g., Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Sales) to solve problems and implement changes.
- Communicate effectively at all organizational levels and with external partners.
Governance & Administration
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor deliverables.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, recaps, and follow-ups.
- Apply risk management techniques, including risk assessments and contingency planning.
- Ensure adherence to PMO methodologies and processes.
Education:
- BA/BS in Business, Operations Management, Project Management, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of project management experience with exposure to cross-functional projects; knowledge of Procurement functions preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure or CPG/Food industry preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification:
- PMP or equivalent Project Management certification preferred.
Special Job Competencies:
- Strong organizational and detail management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business units and geographies.
- Skilled in risk management and conflict resolution.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with JIRA, SAP, and other enterprise systems.
