Description
We are seeking a Field Piping Engineer to support plant engineering and piping design activities for paper and board machine projects. The role involves creating 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials, while coordinating with internal teams and external engineering partners to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform plant engineering activities, including machine hall layouts, foundation dimension planning, and auxiliary equipment layouts.
Develop and review 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials for auxiliary equipment and steel structures.
Execute field piping engineering for hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, high-pressure water, and hot oil systems.
Create piping routing models, drawings, and material lists for various plant piping systems.
Coordinate with subcontracted engineering teams and ensure quality and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
Support procurement, manufacturing, and installation activities during project execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure project requirements are met.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support future leadership responsibilities within the piping engineering function.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience in plant engineering and/or piping engineering.
Proficiency in CATIA V6 and AutoCAD 2D.
Good understanding of mechanical systems, plant layouts, and piping engineering principles.
Ability to read and interpret fluid system diagrams, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
6-8 years of relevant experience is required.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and process piping systems.
Ability to work in a project-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
