Description
Development and application of software development, modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques to support Space-Based Interceptor programs. Design and maintain models of orbital dynamics, sensor performance, interceptor engagement analyses, and threat scenarios. Perform system-level assessments of design concepts, operational strategies, and system effectiveness to optimize interceptor performance. Use simulation tools and software, ensuring accurate integration with real-time data. Support hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), software-in-the-loop (SWIL), and digital integration efforts for test and verification. Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies, and security standards throughout development and analytical processes. Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related technical discipline; education accepted in lieu of degree. 9 years of experience in software development (C++) modeling, simulation, or analysis within aerospace or defense domains. Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to communicate technical concepts effectively. Experience utilizing AFSIM Demonstrated knowledge of orbital mechanics, missile defense systems, and sensor technologies. Proficiency with simulation tools such as MATLAB, STK, Simulink, Python, or other modeling software. Experience in working with classified programs and knowledge of DoD security protocols.
