Objective of the position
As a Production Process Engineer, you will play a key role in developing efficient, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes. You will optimize production workflows by creating clear assembly manuals, configuring production equipment, and ensuring processes are designed for manufacturability, quality, and operational efficiency. Working closely with production and quality teams, you will help drive continuous improvement and support the delivery of high-quality products in a reliable and scalable production environment.
Characterization of activities
- Lead the introduction of new products into mass production, ensuring manufacturability, repeatability, production efficiency, and cost targets are achieved.
- Develop and maintain clear assembly work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.
- Optimize production processes, assembly sequences, tooling, and machine configurations to enhance quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance mechanisms, including PFMEAs and Control Plans, while integrating quality standards into manufacturing processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by reducing downtime, improving process flow, implementing Lean practices, and developing more efficient production methods and tooling.
- Support production equipment maintenance and reliability through inspections, calibrations, troubleshooting, repair coordination, participation in 8D problem-solving teams, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Education, Experience and Knowledge
- Technical vocational (MBO) or bachelor's degree (HBO) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of Automotive Core Tools, including SPC, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and Control Plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to advise, influence, negotiate, and build effective relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Proactive, confident, and solution-oriented professional who can drive improvements and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred; Dutch language skills are a plus but not required.

- Full-time employment of 40 hours per week.

- Travel allowance home-work: 23ct per kilometer one way up to a maximum of 50 km

- WIA: WIA floor, WGA gap and WGA gap additional insurances in accordance with the stipulated provisions.
