Your Role: Social & Video Producer, Smooth Radio and Gold Radio
Are you a content creator and video editor with a love of music, a passion for pop culture and a flair for producing, editing, and making engaging social media content? If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where your organisational and video editing skills will be as valued as your creative thinking, this role is for you.
As Social and Video Producer, you will work closely with the Smooth and Gold teams to create content that drives engagement, builds audience, and amplifies the impact of both brands.
Generating fresh and exciting ideas for assets and short form video, you will develop and execute social media strategies for Smooth and Gold. This role requires a blend of video and photo editing, creativity, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of current social media trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation and Planning (60%): Create a schedule of engaging visual content.
- Shoots and Edits (40%): Together with the Digital Managing Editor, work with presenters and producers to create visual content for our social media platforms.

What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you’ll have:
- Built strong relationships with Smooth and Gold teams, and wider Global teams
- Planned, produced (including video editing) and scheduled engaging social posts for both brands, optimising content for various channels and developing a knack for what makes a post fly
- Taken ownership over social channels and YouTube
- Embraced our workflows, ensuring smooth, efficient delivery of content
- Thrived in a supportive, passionate team
What You’ll Need
- A passion and strong knowledge for popular music and pop culture, particularly from the 1960s to the 2000s
- Strong video editing skills and knowing what works best in short form and long form
- Strong copywriting and photos skills for writing video captions and making incredibly clickable thumbnails
- Proficiency in content creation tools such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Canva
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices. Priority platforms are Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
- Experience in community management and audience engagement
- Confident working with celebrity talent and supporting interviews
- Analytical skills, you’ll be able to track content performance and make recommendations back to wider production teams on a 24/7 basis
- Attention to detail: A meticulousness in ensuring every piece of content is of the highest standard
- Flexibility & positivity: A can-do attitude to managing a busy schedule of social content production and distribution and delivering top results to share with the team
