What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Manager on the General Accounting Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial close process. Working closely with business partners, offshore and the Controllership team, you will oversee month-end activities including the preparation and review of timely accounting entries and the delivery of detailed financial review and analysis. Your expertise will be key in managing technical accounting matters such as capitalized software expenses, personnel cost allocations, and the execution of internal controls within a SOX-compliant environment. In addition, you will provide oversight of prepaid and accrual preparation and reconciliation, helping to uphold strong financial governance across the organization. Through your leadership you will also support continuous process improvement initiatives and promote the use of automation tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
